Old Navy, a division of the Gap Inc., signed a 10-year lease for a 25,000-sf store and Linens 'N Things signed a 10-year lease for a 37,000-sf location. Linens 'N Things opened in December 2000 and Old Navy is expected to open in spring 2001. Both stores will occupy space previously leased to the Wiz, which vacated the center in 1998.

"These recent tenant signings are the keystone to the redevelopment of Townline Square and are a testament to the quality of the property's location," says, Willing Biddle, president and chief operating officer. "The addition of Old Navy and Linens 'N Things now resolves a long time leasing problem at the center created when the Wiz vacated the center in 1998."

"We anticipate that these prestigious retailers will benefit all of the current tenants in the 300,000-sf shopping center," he says "and will enable our leasing team to complete the re-tenanting of the balance of the property this year."
