The partners want to build the 75-unit Danville Senior Apartments to provide affordable housing at or below market rates for residents aged 62 and older. The development is in the early planning stages, with occupancy projected for 2002, according to Bridge. It is slated for a 2.7-acre property in Danville's redevelopment area. That parcel is already zoned for multi-family use.
Applications are not yet available, but will be mailed to prospective residents as construction comes to a close, according to the company. The project's cost is estimated at $12 million, much of which is comprised of block grants and a loan from the town's development agency.
Bridge's other area properties include the 66-unit Strobridge Senior Apartments and 29-unit Strobridge Court Apartments in Castro Valley, as well as the 144-unit Almaden Lake Apartments in San Jose.
