The resort's owner, Olympic Resource Management, is a subsidiary of Poulsbo-based Pope Resources LP (NASDAQ: POPEZ), which announced in December that it was getting out of the business of real estate development to concentrate on its core business of timberland resources, for which it owns or manages more than 600,000 acres of timberland in Washington, Oregon, California and British Columbia.
The sales price for the resort was undisclosed, and John Rose, Olympic's VP of property development was not immediately available for comment. HVC, which owns the Squaw Creek resort in Lake Tahoe, declined to discuss the pending transaction.
