State Provides $3.9 Mil in Assistance for Mold-Making Firm

DETROIT- Motor City Mold Inc. gets a $3.9 million industrial development revenue bond to build new 21,000-sf manufacturing facility in Plymouth Township to assist the automotive industry.

DETROIT-A $3.9-million tax-exempt bond has been issued by the state to finance expansion of Motor City Mold Inc. in Plymouth Township. The industrial development revenue bond will be used to finance construction of a 21,000-sf manufacturing facility, as well as equipment and machinery, at Galleon Court.

The facility portion of the project will be owned by Joy-Nicole Inc. and leased to Motor City. The company manufactures prototype and production plastic injection molds, primarily for the automotive industry.
