DETROIT-The new Detroit office for the nation’s 15th-largest law firm hires new attorneys, including three with real estate and finance expertise. The law firm represents several of Detroit-based automotive companies and those in related industries.DETROIT-Foley & Lardner, which opened a Detroit office last October, is adding five new associates to its growing list of attorneys in the firm’s Detroit office. The law firm represents several of the largest Detroit-based companies in the automotive and related industries, including tier-one automotive suppliers, and will expand that representation to additional Detroit- and Michigan-based companies through its Detroit office.

Those joining the office include:· Peter C. Bolton, an associate in Foley & Lardner’s business lawdepartment. Bolton joins Foley & Lardner after three years at HonigmanMiller Schwartz and Cohn. He counsels clients with respect to loan workouts,troubled supplier situations, litigation and resolution of commercial andbankruptcy disputes, and the preparation of front-end loan documentation. · Ella M. Bully-Cummings, an associate in the labor and employment practicegroup of the litigation department. Bully-Cummings represents and counselsemployers regarding Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, Americans withDisabilities Act, Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and otherdiscrimination-related regulations. · Daljit S. Doogal, an associate in Foley & Lardner’s business lawdepartment. Doogal joins Foley & Lardner’s Detroit office after three yearsat Miller, Canfield, Paddock and Stone, P.L.C. He represents and counselspublic and private companies in mergers, acquisitions and sales of corporateassets, entity formation and governance, venture capital transactions,start-up businesses, general real estate matters and commercial lendingnegotiation and documentation.· Philip B. Phillips, an associate in the labor and employment practicegroup within Foley & Lardner’s litigation department. He represents business clients in all aspects of wrongful discharge and breach of contract claims, handles labor arbitrationsand contract negotiations, and advises employers on grievance issues. · Andrew J. Tavi, an associate in Foley & Lardner’s business law department.Tavi was previously with Dickinson Wright PLLC. He will represent Foley &Lardner’s corporate and institutional clients in corporate and real estatematters, including general corporate and contract counseling, mergers andacquisitions, venture capital transactions, entity formation and governance,secured transactions, financing and real estate leasing, transfer andcounseling.
