The 1.37-million-sf project, known as CommerceCentre@Buena Park, will beconstructed a few miles south of the LA County line on 55 acres bounded by Knott Avenue, Fullerton Creek and Caballero Boulevard. Overton Moore purchased the site from Boise, ID-based retail food and drug chain Albertson's Inc.
Overton Moore will renovate the site's three existing buildings, which range in size from 90,000 sf to more than 700,000 sf. Five speculative buildings will be constructed, with groundbreaking scheduled for the spring.
The project will include distribution facilities and cold storage buildings. Jerry N. Gillman and Steve Calhoun, the Colliers Seeley SVPs who will market the development, say they'll primarily target general industrial users engaged in light manufacturing or operations and logistics firms involved in warehousing, shipping and distribution. They also hope to attract tenants involved in various segments of the food industry.
