The change of command will occur after Cendant Corp., the New York-based parent of Fairfield, closes on the previously-announced acquistion of the time share firm. Berk will also be a special advisor to Cendant travel division chairman/CEO Stephen P. Holmes for an undetermined period, according to a company news release today.
Berk is a former president/CEO of Orlando-based Hard Rock Café International Inc. Hanning has been at Fairfield for 19 years, serving as COO since 1998. Fairfield is the largest time share company in the country with 340,000 unit owners at 33 properties in 12 states and the Bahamas.
