The lease covers a decade and is worth a total $60 million, Opus West said. Emerald Point's other tenants are Franklin Templeton and SBC Advanced Solutions. Marshall Snover of Colliers International represented Opus West in the transaction. Gary Arabian of CAC group represented Cisco.
Cisco is one of several high-tech companies making the leap from Silicon Valley's inner core to its eastern outskirts, often referred to as the Tri-Valley area. Driven by commute and cost considerations, larger firms such as Oracle and Commerce One are also heading to Dublin and its surrounding towns, building larger campuses that lie closer to many workers' suburban homes.
