Pertree Constructors on a Roll with Job Backlog of $12 Mil; Record Contract Volume of $28 Mil

ORLANDO-The 10-year-old Altamonte Springs, FL-based general contractor is shooting for $30 million this year by expanding its geographic scope to Cleveland, Nashville, Texas and California.

ORLANDO-Economic slowdown or not, 11-year-old Pertree Constructors Inc. is looking for another 10% contract volume growth year in 2001, based on larger commercial projects and expansion of its geographic work area.

The Altamonte Springs, FL-based general contractor is starting the year with an enviable work backlog of $12 million compared with a backlog of $6.5 million in January 2000. The suburban Orlando firm also hopes to be taking on jobs this year in Cleveland, Nashville, Texas and California.

The company is so confident the market will remain buoyant, it is going ahead with construction plans on a new headquarters building in south Orlando and plans to occupy the structure by year end.
