Anderson, 74, is senior vice president and a principal of AndersonMasonDaleArchitects, headquartered in a historic building in Lower Downtown. The existing firm, found in 1975, is an offshoot of one he had started in 1960.
The Harvard graduate's firm is responsible for such designs as Colorado's Ocean Journey, a joint venture with Denver-based RNL Design; the CBD's new US Courthouse annex in conjunction with St. Louis-based Hellmuth, Obata + Kassabaum Inc.; The Daniels College of business at the University of Denver; and several buildings at the University of Colorado.
Anderson, an AIA member since 1961, is a two-time president of Colorado's chapter and a representative from the Western Mountain Region to the national board. In 1987, AIA Colorado had bestowed architect of the year upon him.
