AUSTIN-A Houston-based mini-storage operator has just acquired its fifth Austin property and is looking for more. Private Mini Storage deals in climate-controlled, high-end properties, Kurt VanderMeulen, land specialist with NAI/Commercial Industrial Properties, tells GlobeSt.com. The latest acquisition totals 97,000 sf, including an on-site apartment and office that is situated on four acres in an upscale corridor of northwest Austin. The storage units are in a 94,670-sf building.

The property is located in the northwest sector of Ranch Road 620. a high-growth area for residential and commercial development where some 1,600 multifamily units are under construction. The property, due to its location, has fetched between $3.5 million and $4 million.
