Closed is the 95,000-sf store at Boulder's Crossroads Mall. The mall presently is about half empty as it awaits a major redevelopment.
By April's end, the 150,000-sf store at Villa Italia Mall in Lakewood will be closed. That mall too is prepping for a redevelopment. Owner Continuum Partners of Denver plans to build shops, restaurants, residences and offices on its site that accesses two major thoroughfares, South Wadsworth Boulevard and East Alameda Avenue. J.C. Penney stores will remain open at Park Meadows, Southwest Plaza, the Aurora Mall and Westminster Mall.
