It will first service the needs of property owners and managers, according to information released by BOMA. Eventually the portal will include links to providers who service the construction and financing industries. Besides providing access to products and services, the portal will include a bulletin board for comments and information, a real-time chat room, profiles on participating companies, frequently asked questions and links to articles and information about e-commerce.

The expanded Internet presence comes from members' stated desire to acquire products and services over the Internet, BOMA International President Richard D. Baier is quoted as saying. After researching companies BOMA officials decided to create one central location where members can learn about e-commerce, share information with each other and purchase goods and services from companies that have been meticulously screened and approved by the organization.
