CB Richard Ellis' Carlsbad-based Golf and Resort Properties Group and Mexico Properties Group announced today that Club de Golf Playacar, an 18-hole championship golf course adjacent to Playa del Carmen, QuintanaRoo in Mexico, has sold for $10 million to Palace Resorts, a Cancun-based hotel company.

Club de Golf Playacar was previously owned by Grupo Sidek Situr and designed by renowned architect Robert Von Hagge. It is considered one of the finest golf courses in the Caribbean, and one of only three 18-hole golf courses in the entire market.

The Playacar master-planned community consists of 870 acres and includes 11 hotels with a total of 3,920 rooms. The centerpiece of the community is the Club De Golf Playacar with its amenities, which include the 18-hole golf course, pro shop, tennis courts, restaurant, bar, palapa (for social events), swimming pool and a meeting room. Green fees are $100US.

The firm's golf and resort properties group provides a full spectrum of real estate services to the golf course industry, with representatives based in Carlsbad, Phoenix and Orlando.
