Celebration! Village will cover approximately 424,000 sf on more than 40 acres of property. It will be a mixed-used development offering shopping, dining, music, films and special events. When completed, Celebration! Village will resemble a classic village community. The overall design concept is to keep the village activities in close proximity, isolate traffic and incorporate the beauty of thesurrounding environment.
A number of techniques will he used to create this effect, including innovative zoning, mixing classic and contemporary architecture and maximizing the existing topography.
Celebration! Village will incorporate "new urbanist" zoning that allows the buildings to delineate the property. Small-scale, one-story buildings will be built along the Knapp and East Beltline corner to outline the village and conceal the parking areas. The larger buildings and respective parking areas will be located behind the smaller structures, out of sight from passing motorists. The new zoning eliminates the conventional "set-back" line used for large developments, which sets buildings hundreds of yards from property lines.
Classic and contemporary architecture and design will be used to enrich the overall appearance of Celebration! Village. This combination willincorporate modern and traditional materials, such as brick, wood, stone and glass to enhance the exterior of the buildings. In addition, two European-style walkways will connect the buildings and plaza, allowing for pedestrian access to all village activities.
Other components of Celebration! Village include a 60-foot high, circular glass atrium located at the village center, brand-name retail stores, a variety of restaurants and a 72,000-sf corporate office park.
