The locally-based publisher of Business 2.0 magazine and other computer and technology publications says its 400 employees will remain at its 150 North Hill Dr. location in Brisbane. The company says it may still consider moving into the development at a later date.
The $200 million project, which broke ground in November, will take two years to complete and will include three interconnected buildings of 9 to 16 stories totaling 1.3 million sf. In addition to the 760,000 sf of office space, phase one also includes 42,000 sf of retail and 1,440 parking spaces.
Highway 101, Harney Way and Jamestown Avenue border the property. FuturePlex LLC acquired the 58-acre land last year from Sand Hill Advisors in Los Altos for a whopping $35 million. The project is exempt from the city's Measure M construction limit because of a deal struck up between previous owner Campeau of Canada and the city.
