The Woodlands 1.7-acre site will house a 2,800-sf restaurant plus decks and terraces, Campbell says. The Sugar Land project will be located on 1.08 acres and be about the same size. Architect Mark Verret will design the projects, with S & A Construction serving as general contractor.

Becks Prime, founded in 1985, has seven restaurants operating in Houston. Thechain is the recipient of several urban forestry awards for preservation efforts, a practice that goes right along with the Becks dining experience, says Campbell. Decks provide more dining space than interiors, with the mesh at some, like Augusta, being 4,500 sf in deck space to 1,400 sf of inside dining. In Augusta, Becks has been honored for its live oak tree preservation program, spending more than $65,000 last year for the ongoing project, says Campbell.
