The developer is waiting for a license from the state Department of Environmental Protection to build on a waterway to start construction. Rents will reportedly be around $1.50 per sf, depending on the size of the apartment. Another developer, Ohio-based Forest City Development, has proposed building a 180-unit luxury townhouse development here for $42 million. Rents would range from $1600 to $2400 per month depending upon the size of the apartment.

John M. Corcoran & Co. is ready to build a luxury apartment building here at the former Vincent Chip Factory. Construction on the 120-unit complex is slated to begin next month. Colorado-based Archstone Communities is planning to build 148 units of luxury apartments and townhouses here at the Village at Vinnin Square. Rental rates and a construction date have reportedly not been determined yet.
