Maritz, Wolff & Co. Buys Legendary Hotel Carlyle in New York

ST. LOUIS-Dallas-based Rosewood Hotels & Resorts will oversee the luxury 249-room hotel, bought by the private investment firm with more than $2 billion in property holdings around the world.

ST. LOUIS-Maritz, Wolff & Co. has bought the legendary Hotel Carlyle in New York. The Hotel Carlyle, a luxury hotel with 249 rooms and suites, will be managed by Rosewood Hotels & Resorts.

“Rosewood and Maritz, Wolff & Co. have the deepest respect for the tradition of The Carlyle,” said Philip Maritz, president of Maritz, Wolff & Co and chairman of Rosewood. “No major changes are planned for this landmark hotel and we will continue to enhance the hotel and the service as the current owner has done.”
