Company officials expect to break ground early next year on the project, located on El Camino Real between Highways 101 and 280. Also coming to the area is a $15 billion BART expansion that will include 7.4 miles of track and new stations in South San Francisco, San Bruno, San Francisco International Airport and Millbrae.
The Martin Group, based in San Francisco, is responsible for developing One Market Street in San Francisco, Midpoint Technology Park in Redwood City and Hamilton Air Base in Novato. Foster City, CA-based Sares-Regis is known for its residential developments. It is responsible for the Metro Center in Foster City and the Humboldt Square in San Mateo.
It is anticipated that the Martin Group/Regis Co. project will net the city $4 million in annual revenue, money city officials hope to use to build a new library and finance street and sewer maintenance.
