The mixed-use project would consist of six buildings at a maximum three-story height on a 4.2-acre site on San Pablo Avenue and Schmidt Lane. The proposal still needs approval from the City Council, Planning Commission and the Design Review Board. The Design Review Board has requested a traffic study to be conducted. Another meeting is scheduled for in the next week or so.

The developer is planning 75 one-bedroom and 87 two-bedroom units, all ranging from 675 sf to 1,307 sf. The remaining 26 units, totaling 23,000 sf, would be dedicated to live/work units. The second- and third-level units are being marketed to small-office users such as architects, accountants, attorneys and dot-com start-ups.

According to the proposal, the six buildings would be designed around a centralized, landscaped courtyard. The design elements would remain the same throughout the project to create a unified feel for the entire development.
