AAC plans to develop the first two buildings on spec. The initial buildings will total 100,000 sf and 120,000 sf, respectively. The company has purchased about half the land and expects to close on the other half during the first quarter, according to a published report. AAC has not disclosed the purchase price of the 170 acres.

AAC has developed almost 800,000 sf in another enterprise, Whitehall Technology Park. The company has opened the first building in Whitehall Corporate Center, which will eventually total about two million sf of office.

These projects are part of a broader 700-acre Whitehall development that includes Crosland Retail's Whitehall Commons shopping center on Interstate 485. AAC recently moved its offices from SouthPark to 10,000 sf in the initial five-story, 116,000-sf office building in Whitehall Corporate Center.
