ORLANDO-Equity One Inc. is losing no time in filling up vacated theater company space at its 100,000-sf Lake Mary Centre in suburban Lake Mary, FL. Sun Star Theaters, a family-owned movie operating, is taking 35,700 sf for five years at an estimated aggregate rent of $3.21 million. The space was previously occupied by a General Cinema unit.

Equity One, a North Miami Beach, FL-based REIT headed by Chaim Katzman, plans to break ground on the fourth 50,000-sf phase at Lake Mary Centre in March. Taking half of the new space is Euro Fitness Center. The 10-year, 25,000-sf lease has an estimated value of $5 million.
