"Boston is a high-tech hub for large companies," Mike Farmer, vice president of sales and marketing for the company, tells GlobeSt.com. "It has a large pool of IT talent and professional sales and marketing people."

Marshall Reese, who does public relations for Baydon, adds that the city's Irish connection also drew the company here. Since the Potato Famine, the city has been historically known as a major port for Irish immigration.

Baydon has alliances with a number of US companies including Human Dynamics Inc., Computer Associates and PriceWaterhouseCoopers in developing its technology. The company targets mid to large-sized companies who are moving away from traditional classroom training functions.
