Hotel Industry Growing in Hickory Region

HICKORY, NC- The number of available rooms are increasing by about 30% over the past four years with national hospitality chains just discovering this area 50 miles northwest of Downtown Charlotte.

HICKORY, NC-The hospitality industry in Catawba County, 50 miles northwest of Downtown Charlotte, is thriving, as national hospitality chains discover this niche market 50 miles northwest of Downtown Charlotte.

The number of available rooms are increasing by about 30% over the past four years but no one seems to know the total count, according to a published article.

For example, the $10 million, 144-room Courtyard by Marriott is expected to open in Hickory next month. A few miles southeast in Conover, NC, developer Dave Kastelic has opened a 30-room, $1 million Affordable Suites of America.
