From Ann Arbor, surrounded by the University of Michigan and many research companies, to Oakland County's Automation Alley, mostly populated by high-tech and digital automotive firms, the region is rich with companies from the computer age. A new organization, called Digital Detroit wants to bring these companies together under the web of one regional name. The organization is holding a contest to fid a good name that fits the technology-driven are of Detroit. The winner gets a Palm Pilot.All entries must be submitted, by visiting www.digitaldetroit.com, by Friday. The winner will be announced Feb. 24 on WJR AM 760, between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m.
