Jeffrey H. Newman, executive vice president of W&M Properties said the publishing company extended its existing lease on 46,267 sf for a 10-year, nine-month term through year-end 2012, and signed a 12-year lease for an additional 11,734 sf of space. W&M Construction will build out the new space for the tenant.

Pearson Education acquired its additional seventh floor space after the Community Care Network, a tenant since 1998, relocated its offices within the building. The International division of Pearson Education currently occupies part of the seventh and eighth floors of the building, and the entire ninth floor. Pearson Education is part of the media company Pearson plc, a worldwide publisher of education textbooks and electronic resources.

W&M Properties represented the building owner, an affiliate of the Malkin family. Richard Berzine & Company LTD represented Pearson Education in the deal.
