Work Set to Begin on Mohegan Lake Shopping Center

YORKTOWN, NY-Construction is scheduled to begin this month on a new 36,000 sf shopping center at Route 6 and Mohegan Ave. that will be the home of a CVS drug store and a Charlie Brown's Steakhouse.

YORKTOWN, NY-Charlie Brown’s Steakhouse has signed a lease for an 8,100 sf space at a shopping center to be built at Route 6 and Mohegan Ave. in the Mohegan Lake section of Yorktown. Eric Goldschmidt of Goldschmidt & Associates of Scarsdale is the exclusive leasing agent for the 36,000-sf shopping center, which is owned by an affiliate of Celestial Capital Group Inc. of New York City.

Goldschmidt notes that the shopping center is now more than 50% leased. In addition to the Charlie Brown’s transaction, the first tenant signed for the center was the CVS drug store chain, which signed a deal in June 2000.

“We are in lease negotiations with a national convenience tenant for another 2,250 sf and have substantial and growing interest from other retailers for the remaining 15,225 sf,” Goldschmidt adds.
