City Council Moves Toward Revote on Ballpark Contracts

SAN DIEGO-The City Council is moving slowly toward a decision on whether to cast new votes on the Downtown ballpark project.

SAN DIEGO-The City Council is moving slowly toward a decision on whether to cast new votes on the tainted Downtown ballpark project.

The council Tuesday decided to revote on one of 28 council votes that may have been tainted by allegations that former Councilwoman Valerie Stallings—who resigned last month—had improper financial relationships with ballpark developer and San Diego Padres owner John Moores.

The council will reconsider the rest of the votes at a meeting March 6, after the public has had a chance to revisit contracts and an agreement approved by the council last year, before Stallings resigned.
