Spirit of Ford will continue to be open for the public and special events until Feb. 28. The building will be renovated in March and early June.

The adventure center has hosted over 275,000 guests from 50 countries since opening 20 months ago, according to the company. The 50,000-sf center showcased Ford's approaches to design, technology, engineering, manufacturing, safety and the environment, including a turbocharged, simulated assembly line, an interactive test dummy and Dale Jarrett's "pit crew."
