Cityfeet.com Closes on $3.25 Mil in Funding

NEW YORK CITY-Cityfeet.com, an Internet site that enables businesses to search for office, retail and industrial space, has closed on $3.25 million in a second round of funding led by Scripps Ventures. New York Times Digital and exclusive partnerships between Cityfeet.com and NYTimes.com and Boston.com, both owned by NYTD, participated as minority investors. Scripps is the venture capital division of media company E.W. Scripps and a founding investor in the dot-com.

The site enables property owners to post information in a database about space available for lease including the asking price and dimensions along with photos, floor plans and a map showing its location. Those looking for space enter their requirements and are provided with a list of properties that meets those needs. Property owners pay a monthly listing fee. Prospective tenants, who are not charged, can sign up for Cityfeet Agent, which alerts them via e-mail when an appropriate property has been listed.
