The group will look at how each community can share responsibility in providing affordable housing, assuring adequate land is available for construction, using infill to increase housing inventory and cutting development fees to reduce the cost of housing.
Tom Fetzer, former Mayor of Raleigh, NC and director of the Center for Local Innovation, will also address the group. The center is a division of the John Locke Foundation, which studies local government systems and offers local officials assistance with pressing community issues that involve the public and private sectors.
