Denver is one of the developer's key markets. The Morgan Group plans to build 1,900 units this year in its existing markets, which also include its home base, Atlanta, Kansas City, San Diego and Orange County, CA. Plank has been a development associate with MGI since 1996 and previously had worked in Australia as a construction economist.

In Houston, the developer's portfolio consists of 229 units at The Plaza in the Museum District; the 296-unit Plaza at Westchase; 240-unit The Palms at Clear Lake; and 385-unit Pin Oak Estates. The Morgan Group also owns the 104-unit Fleetwood Apartments, 228-unit Memorial Apartments and 204-unit Inverness Apartments, all Houston holdings.
