The new store features a variety of new service including and in-store Starbucks, a Dryers ice cream bar, full-service pharmacy, video shop, pet-care and florist centers, one-hour film processing and a baby-care facility, as well as other traditional services for which the grocery is well known--deli, bakery, etc. In addition, the site contains a gas station and 2,000-sf convenience store. "This store is part of our new format," says Duwe. "We've found that our customers enjoy the convenience of one-stop shopping, and are looking at providing this at locations around the country."
Albertson's also has new stores under way in Eugene, Hillsboro and Roseburg.
