LEE’S SUMMIT, MO-Developers have announced plans to begin construction this summer on a 60,000-sf office building in the Grand Business Park next to the Douglas Square shopping center. The three-story building will be one of the largest in eastern Jackson County.

In all, plans call for four buildings to be constructed in the 17-acre business park. Two buildings will have two stories and two will have three stories. Up to 185,000 sf of office space may be built at the site.

Thus far, two buildings, with about 50,000 sf, have been leased in the business park. Tenants include Alamosa PCS Holdings Inc., a telecommunications company, and Trinity Financial Group, a life insurance broker.
