Information Technology Firm Signs Major Deal in Albany Suburb

EAST GREENBUSH, NY-Computer Sciences Corp. will relocate its operations from Albany to 193,000 sf of leased space at the One Garden Way building here.

EAST GREENBUSH, NY-Cushman & Wakefield of Connecticut represented Computer Sciences Corp. in a 193,000 sf lease deal at One Garden Way here. Daniel A. Mambrino of C&W brokered the deal along with Donald E. Welch, SIOR of D.E.W. Real Estate. The health and medical division of Computer Sciences Corp. will relocate to the property by June of this year from approximately 100,000 sf of space it currently leases in Albany.

The firm signed a six year lease with Garden Way Manufacturing Corp. (formerly Troy-Built) and will move approximately 500 employees to the property, which is located about 10 minutes from Downtown Albany. Computer Sciences, which is headquartered in El Segundo, CA, recently was renewed by New York State to handle its Medicaid billing, a deal estimated to be worth $550 million over the next six years, Mambrino says.
