Expeditrix Picks New CEO to Forge SmartClose Strategies

AUSTIN-A 16-year veteran of the high-tech world has been named CEO for Expeditrix Corp. Steve Pittman's role includes forging next-generation strategies for Expeditrix's SmartClose package.

AUSTIN-Expeditrix Corp., based in Austin, has snagged a high-tech savvy executive, formerly with Motorola, to lead its strategies in the online multiparty closing process. Steve Pittman has been named CEO, replacing co-founder Tim Ford who will focus on advancing its SmartClose package as executive vice president of business development. In another appointment, Stephen Bedikian has been named vice president of marketing. SmartClose is a high-tech facilitator for the closing process.

Pittman is a 16-year veteran of the technology industry and has three years of real estate experience. Most recently, he had been the president and CEO of Alerta Inc., a wireless communication business. He also has been president and COO for Ross Technologies, CEO for nChip and had spent 15 years at Motorola, rising to the ranks of senior executive. As vice president of Motorola’s Worldwide Paging Division, he had been responsible for developing and introducing the Bravo pager line, which has generated over $1 billion in sales.
