64 Commercial Building Permits Taken Out in January in K.C. Suburb

OVERLAND PARK, KS-The total is down slightly compared to first month of 2000, with the majority of permits issued for remodeling. No permits were issued for new hospitals, schools or churches.

No permits were issued for new hospitals, schools or churches. The remaining 51 permits were issued in the remodeling/miscellaneous category.

These totals compare to 68 commercial construction permits issued last January. Of the 68, 14 were for new construction and the remaining fell into the remodel/miscellaneous category.
