Most recently Catellus' point man for development in the Northwest, Little will be responsible for the development of the 200-acre Oakland Army Base. In addition, he will also manage the Opus West team responsible for the developments known as Opus Center San Jose, Dublin's Emerald Point, Sierra Point in Brisbane and the Monterey Business Center in South San Jose.

As vice president of Northwest commercial development for Catellus, Little was responsible for more than 13.6 million sf of large mixed-use entitlements, 4.9 million sf of development and 456 acres of land acquisition. Little also spent four years managing the development of Pacific Commons in Fremont, an 8.3 million sf project that includes 1.1 million sf for office use and development. The site is future home to Cisco Systems, Intel Corp., and Level 3 Communications Inc.

Little, 45, tells GlobeSt he made the move because he had accomplished everything he wanted to accomplish at publicly traded Catellus and was ready to move onto greater challenges. He considers Opus, a privately held company, to be new territory where decisions are made quickly, thus providing new challenges. Opus West president Tom Roberts says Little's work with Catellus' Pacific Commons and Alameda Naval Base projects "will serve us well as we continue to expand our presence into the San Francisco Bay Area."
