The 51-year-old Danville, CA resident says he took the position at Colliers because it was a step forward for himself and his clients. "I joined Colliers to take advantage of the internal cooperation and professionalism of the strongest commercial brokerage team in the East Bay," says Conklin. "When a Boston-based institutional client of mine told me that he considered Colliers to be the top commercial real estate firm in the Bay Area, the decision to move was easy."
Last year, Conklin represented RREEF in selling the Alamo Shopping Center to Invesco, as well as the disposition of the Chevron building in the Shadelands Park area of Walnut Creek, the Pacific Gulf Properties business park in North Concord, a building in Roseville and some land in Livermore.
Prior to Grubb & Ellis, Conklin was vice president of development at The Prudential Realty Group in the East Bay where he spent 15 years. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, holds degrees in economics, finance and marketing.
Colliers has 251 offices in 52 countries in the U.S., the Middle East, Africa and Asia. The Walnut Creek office is part of the San Jose-based Colliers International Partnership, which owns 12 offices in California, Nevada and Texas.
