"We're just opening up our sales effort, but we've already sold 12 of the 41 units," Lawrence Fullerton, principal. Fullerton Co. had bought the land at 19th Avenue and Washington Street from Atlanta-based Post Properties Inc., which is developing a phased, $100 million-plus luxury apartment complex at the site of the former St. Luke's Hospital.
Neighborhood leaders had wanted some "for sale" units in the mix, so Post is working with Fullerton on that end. Units will be priced from the mid-$200,000s to about $500,000 for a penthouse unit, Fullerton says. Units will average about $250 per sf, which is less than most units in the nearby LoDo area, he says. "The bulk of them are in the $300,000s," he says.
One thing that will set these units apart from the competition is that each unit covers two levels. "There's a main floor and a mezzanine floor," Fullerton says. "They're well suited for live work." Architect Michael Murphy, who has worked on three other Fullerton Co. buildings, has designed Saint Lukes Lofts.
