The hotel investment-banking subsidiary of New York-based Jones Lang LaSalle Inc. earlier this month promoted Alan Tantleff, former senior vice president, and assigned him to coordinate operations at the Miami office, in addition to his current responsibilities for developing the company's institutional client base. While remaining in New York, Tantleff is also charged with strategic research into the South Florida market.

Along with Christian Charre, vice president in the Miami office, this new team also intends to expand the company's focus into Latin America and the Caribbean, in addition to its work in South Florida.

"Greg (Rumpel) oversaw investment sales, advisory services and market research in our New Zealand office for three years and successfully expanded operations during that time," Arthur Adler, Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels managing director for the Americas, says in a prepared statement. "His international experience in the Canadian, Australian, New Zealand and Latin American hospitality industries will be fundamental in developing our southeastern U.S. and Latin American presence."
