300,000-SF Bulk Distribution Center Bolsters Industrial Market's Outlook

HOUSTON-Signs are that it's going to be a hardy year for the city's industrial market, particularly in the northwest corridor. A 300,000-sf bulk warehouse distribution center is just one of several projects that's clearly a trickle-down effect from a new air cargo facility.

HOUSTON-Victory Packaging recently has purchased space in the Cole Creek Crossing Business Park in northwest Houston to build a 300,000-sf bulk distribution facility, Todd Mason, Cushman & Wakefield of Texas Inc. broker tells GlobeSt.com. This is just the beginning of what Mason and other Houston real estate experts say will be another strong year for the industrial market specifically and the commercial real estate market in general.

Mason, who specializes in the industrial market, tells GlobeSt.com that he is working right now to put together deals just east of George W. Bush Intercontinental Airport as a result of a trickle-down effect from an air cargo distribution facility that’s under construction. It’s definitely an area to watch from the industrial perspective, emphasizes Mason.

The city’s northwest sector is bolstered by its large workforce, easy accessibility to Texas 290 and, foremost, the benefits of deed-restricted parks owned by institutional investors that aren’t necessarily found in other parts of town. Construction on the distribution center is being managed by Granite Properties.
