Longview Farm was built as a horse farm by lumber baron Robert A. Long and today stands much as it did 100 years ago. AMLI said it intends to build luxury apartments, incorporating the architecture of the farm.
The planning commission said yes to the project to be constructed near the existing Bridlewood housing develoment. The Lee's Summit city council will hear from the public March 8, although more than 150 residents showed up this week to oppose the planning commission's recommendation.
