Know as The Bridge, the new theater complex will feature a live-entertainment component, media pods and movie auditoriums with premium and assigned seating. In addition, the movie house will have 4,200 stadium-style seats, cutting-edge sound and advanced ticketing.

The movie theater will be operated by partners Cinebridge Ventures and National Amusements Inc. It will replace Edwards Theatres Circuit Inc., which was originally slated for the anchor space at the Promenade before it filed for bankruptcy.

The Promenade is being developed as a joint venture between LA-based developer J.H. Snyder Co. and Orix Real Estate Entities Inc. It will feature retail and restaurant tenants, who will open their doors beginning this month.

Howard Hughes Center is a mixed-use complex being developed by Arden Realty on the border of Culver City and Westchester.
