LOS ANGELES-A 106,000-sf modernistic cinema will open early this summer, as the anchor to the 250,000-sf Promenade at Howard Hughes Center.
Know as The Bridge, the new theater complex will feature a live-entertainment component, media pods and movie auditoriums with premium and assigned seating. In addition, the movie house will have 4,200 stadium-style seats, cutting-edge sound and advanced ticketing.
The movie theater will be operated by partners Cinebridge Ventures and National Amusements Inc. It will replace Edwards Theatres Circuit Inc., which was originally slated for the anchor space at the Promenade before it filed for bankruptcy.
