Zethus, which is backed by the Goldman, Sachs Group Inc., has offices in Washington, DC, Chicago, Houston and New York. By offering web-based tools, company officials say they will streamline leasing and managing commercial properties for tenants, owners and managers.

"In anticipation of our rapid growth, we have assembled a team of top notch technical resources who can assure higher levels of service for our customers," said Gerhard Karba, Zethus' chief technology officer.

Conger, with 17 years of Internet and information technology experience, will lead technology and software development. He most recently served as regional technical manager and market architect at Cambridge Technology Partners.

Mowery, who has 20 years of hardware infrastructure and management experience, has an in-depth knowledge of Internet-based applications and security, according to Karba. Prior to joining Zethus, Mowery served as the director of client server computing at Sallie Mae.

Tropf served as assistant vice president for technical services at the Student Loan Marketing Association. He has more than 20 years experience in planning, negotiating, implementing and supporting technology systems for corporations and financial institutions.

The company has already established a Web presence at www.zethus.com, but plans take its interactive tools live by the end of June. Last year, Zethus entered into a multi-year agreement with Cushman & Wakefield to use Zethus' patent-pending web-based technology to conduct its online commercial leasing transactions.
