The 46-year-old restaurant executive has been running the show at the publicly traded company since CEO Jim Berk left for Fairfield Communities Inc. in 1999. The Hard Rock position has been unfilled since.
Now Beadrault, the firm's president and chief operating officer, has been formally promoted to CEO status by Hard Rock's parent, London-based Rank Group PLC.
The 1,600-employee Hard Rock firm currently operates 105 restaurants in 38 countries, hotels, live concerts and a music-label recording business. The company's annual report due within weeks is expected to note record revenue for 2000.
