Trademark's 15 acres are earmarked for a 143,000-sf shopping center. An H-E-B grocery store will anchor the center. The property had been part of a 700-acre tract of the former Andrau Airpark. Camden had bought the acreage in late 1998. Five hundred of the acres had been simultaneously transferred to Sunrise Colony Co., which had developed it into the Royal Oaks Country Club. The property had been developed as a complement to Sunrise Colony's Royal Oaks gated luxury project.

In March 2000, Camden also had sold 38 acres to Lowe's Home Centers for a home improvement store and a Wal-Mart supercenter. Camden plans to keep approximately 70 acres of the property to develop up to 1,800 apartment communities while hawking the balance for additional commercial or retail development.
