Prominent speakers at the event are Winter Park, FL economist Dr. Henry Fishkind; real estate futurist Michael Lipsey; Economic Development Commission of Mid-Florida Inc. executive director Darrell Kelley; and Realvest Partners Inc. founder/chairman George D. Livingston.

Livingston says commercial real estate experts often take a longer view of economic cycles and most see the current economic slowdown as a healthy phenomenon. "The New Economy is exceptionally strong and it's a lot better than the old economy," the developer/investor of 40 years tells GlobeSt.com. Livingston's firm is hosting the CORFAC event.

Fishkind will give the group an overview of New Economy demographics and business opportunities in Orlando. Lipsey will advance his New Economy perspective on how technology will continue to impact the commercial property business.

CORFAC is one of the principal corporate facilities alliances in North America. Member firms negotiated more than 6,000 sale and lease transactions worldwide covering more than 215 million sf of commercial space and valued at more than $6.5 billion in 1999, Livingston says. Result for 2000 are being tabulated.
